There’s was a little more happiness on the streets of Blackpool after goodies were given out to an unsuspecting public.
To celebrate I Want You to be Happy Day, a team of Happies went out to make people smile and feel generally good, handing out chocolates, flowers, Millies Cookies and even paying for people’s car parking fees!
Working with Houndshill Shopping Centre, we presented members of the public with surprises while they were out shopping.
Happy also delivered boxes of toys and toiletries for Fylde children’s hospice, Brian House, as part of its ongoing charity work.
The team surprised the staff at the Bispham hospice with the toys which will be used as part of their 21st birthday celebrations this year.
Sister Carol Wylde, clinical manager at Brian House, said: “It was such a brilliant surprise for Happy to present us with the gifts and toiletries which always come in useful for the children here at Brian House.
“We really appreciate their kindness and thinking of the charity in this way.”
Karen Lambert, managing director of Happy, said: “At Happy, nothing gives us more pleasure than making other people happy. To see people’s reactions to being given an unexpected gift is fantastic.”
