RICHARD Branson, Alan Sugar, Peter Jones – they all have one thing in common, the entrepreneurial spirit.
With this in mind, the launch of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week was the chance for an idea to become the next business empire.
Blackpool Unlimited was the focal point in Lancashire for a week-long list of entrepreneurial events at its flagship Enterprise Centre. And with the marketing, social media and promotional expertise of Happy Creative, they were able to put their ideas out to the wider world.
Getting people interested in business is not easy though, especially when their vision is clouded by shows such as The Apprentice where the candidates are set tasks and appraised (or fired) on their abilities – and then handed £250,000 – and we all know life isn’t like that.
Ideas
Happy knows only too well about the spirit of entrepreneurship – having set up on its own 10 years ago this year – and how an idea can flourish. And for one week in Blackpool, Happy’s creative team were able to promote their events and also the Enterprise Centre as the place to start or grow your business.
Happy worked closely with Blackpool Unlimited to come up with a marketing plan to promote their events through a targeted social media and press campaign – securing a live interview with BBC Radio – as well as a campaign for their tailored office space.
An idea can be inspired from where you come from and Blackpool is a town buzzing with ideas. Maybe it’s the fresh sea air or the hubbub of the resort when high season is in full swing, but there is something which makes the town the place for start-ups.
Success story
Which is why Blackpool Unlimited has put so much effort and expertise into this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week because they know – like Happy does – how many good ideas are out there and want to help those seeds grow into another Blackpool success story.
It’s not just about the new ideas though as Blackpool Unlimited also has the tools needed to help grow your business. For more information click here.
