
Celebrating 20 Years of Happy Creative

Happy is 20.
Twenty years ago, our Chief Happy, Karen Lambert, had a vision: that marketing could feel more human, more emotionally intelligent, and more purposeful. That creativity and kindness could co-exist. And that happiness, not as a gimmick, but as a genuine intention, could be a powerful force for connection and growth.
That belief became Happy Creative.
From the beginning, we set out to do things differently: to help businesses grow through thoughtful strategy, impactful creativity, and meaningful human connection. We believed then, as we do now, that how you do business matters just as much as what you do. And for 20 years, that purpose has remained unchanged: to spread happiness through purposeful marketing.
Building Relationships with Purpose
Over the past two decades, we’ve partnered with organisations across a range of sectors, from councils and charities to manufacturers, professional services and purpose-led businesses.
What connects them isn’t just what they do, it’s why they do it. We’re fortunate to work with people who care about the impact they make. People who want to build something meaningful. And people who, like us, believe that business can be a force for good.
More and more we work with clients who share our values, those who lead with kindness, invest in people, and want their growth to reflect something deeper. That alignment matters. Because when values are shared, trust runs deep, and the work becomes more than a project. It becomes a partnership.
“Looking back on my nine years at Happy fills me with such pride and gratitude,” says Account Manager Krisztina. “It’s been a privilege to be part of so many wonderful client journeys, and to share in Happy’s, too.”

Human connection has always been our starting point. We work best when we really know the people we’re working with, what matters to them, what they’re building, and why. That people-first approach has seen us form long-standing client relationships and make meaningful contributions to our communities.
We’re proud to have supported causes that align with our values, through time, skills, and donations. Whether helping Blackpool Foodbank provide over 9,000 meals, supporting young people through The Boathouse Youth, or funding more than 70 life-changing calls through the Samaritans Pay for a Day campaign since 2018. We give back because it’s part of who we are.
“Helping clients grow is a joy,” says Account Manager Marilia. “But being able to give back, using our skills and time to support charities and youth organisations, gives me an even deeper sense of purpose.”

“It’s been just over a year since I joined Happy,” says Marketing Executive Jenna, “but I already feel part of something special. Writing content that helps clients express their purpose, it’s such a rewarding part of the journey.”

“One of the things I love most about my role is bringing our clients’ stories to life. Whether it’s through brand building, social media or digital content, finding creative ways to connect with people is what makes the work feel alive, and truly Happy,” says Louise, Happy’s Digital Content Manager.

We’ve never chased being the biggest. We’ve stayed focused on being the most meaningful. On building relationships that last and delivering work that matters. On listening well, doing the right thing, and bringing happiness into everything we touch.
“Reflecting on the past 20 years is humbling,” says Karen. “The people we’ve met, the businesses we’ve supported, the trust we’ve been given, it’s all shaped who we are. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the Happy story so far … Happies new and old, supply partners and of course, our Happy clients.
Their kindness, their spark, and their belief in what we were building has stayed with us. We carry that forward. They are the reason Happy is Happy. And we can’t wait for Chapter 21.”
