Google has chosen the seaside as its destination to showcase the latest trends for growing your business.
The search engine giant is one of the headline acts at Blackpool’s first ever Enterprise Week which takes place from April 18-22.
Blackpool Council will host the week of free and professional events at venues across the resort, aimed to enthuse and inspire business start-ups and established companies.
This is the first time Google has taken its Digital Garage workshop outside a major UK city.
There will also be presentations and practical workshops from global banking giant Santander, UK Trade & Investment and a number of established local businesses which have been helped by Blackpool Council’s business support schemes, Get Started and Blackpool Unlimited.
Viva Blackpool (?) will be the venue for the launch of BEW with the Enterprise Centre on Lytham Road, the resort’s Winter Gardens and the Solaris Centre being used for workshops, networking events and masterclasses.
Blackpool Enterprise Week comes after the town hosted its first Global Entrepreneurship Week events last November which saw hundreds of people attend a number of free events across its business venues.
Themes for BEW include Business Growth, Digital Marketing, Taking Care of Business, Marketing and Selling and Inspiring Business Success.
