hank you for tuning in to Happy Beat where we share the latest on The Happies. From anniversary launches to Santa dashes to speaking on business panel
Lancashire Business View
Our #ChiefHappy Karen made her debut on stage as a panellist for the Lancashire Business View Regional Hotspot discussion, held at B&FC’s eco-friendly venue - the Lancashire Energy HQ. During the session, Karen shared her thoughts on what it’s like to be a business in Blackpool.
You can see that LBV’s publisher Richard Slater was just a tad excited about the re-brand of the LBV magazine. The fresh new design was unveiled at the event.
Karen enjoyed being part of the panel and it was great to share so many positive thoughts on Blackpool’s enterprise.
Launching Foxton@50
The Happies, Karen, Jenny, and Krisztina went along to support The Foxton Centre on the launch of their 50th-anniversary campaign - Foxton@50. The team met members of the community as well as business and political leaders who’d all pledged their support to the Centre.
It was a rather humbling experience, The Happies heard from CEO Jeff Marsh and Chairman John Parkinson, as well as service users who thanked the team at The Foxton Centre for their constant commitment and support.
The Happies were pleased to see local media attend the event, shining a light on the incredible work of The Foxton Centre.
Santa Dash
Happy James & his family upheld the spirit of Christmas and took part in this year’s Blackpool Santa Dash in aid of Brian’s House Children’s Hospice. Braving the brisk cold Sunday morning the family went along to South Promenade and joined the sea of ‘red’ which saw some 1,800 people dressed as Father Christmas dashing from Sandcastle Waterpark to The Manchester pub and back to raise money for the Fylde coast’s children’s hospice.
Happy James, commented by saying it was an incredible sight to see, a great event for all the family to enjoy, but unfortunately, James was pipped to the post by son Ethan, following a final dash to the finish line.
New recruits for Atlas
Happy Jenny has been finding out more about the new apprentices at Atlas. Tom and Charlie joined the team in December and she enjoyed interviewing them so she could write some PR and content to promote their arrival. Both Charlie and Tom were extremely excited to be taking their next step on to the career ladder and expressed how they’re really looking forward to meeting new people and learning a new skill.
