Happy Helps Make
Carbon Work
We’re delighted to be working with Lancashire’s low carbon initiative, MaCaW, to help more businesses reduce their carbon footprint, save energy and save money.
Whatever business you run, you know that the drive to run cleaner and greener continues to gain momentum. We all know the benefits of cutting carbon – you save energy, you cut costs and you do your bit to help our planet. But knowing it and doing something about it are two very different things.
That’s why MaCaW was established. The Making Carbon Work Project has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund alongside the University of Central Lancashire. It’s helping businesses make that leap from wanting to be carbon efficient to actually doing it by increasing resource efficiency, cutting costs and strengthening tenders based on creating low carbon operations. It’s completely FREE of charge to Lancashire SMEs and Happy is helping to raise the initiative’s profile – so more Lancashire businesses get to benefit.
“Happy feels like part of our team”
Our work is all about raising MaCaW’s profile and generating leads. To date we’ve developed a digital and content marketing strategy, and we are supporting the team with SEO and content creation including blogs and video. We’re also helping MaCaW make the most of its online presence with a range of tools and techniques the team can implement internally.
Mark Nelson is Business Engagement Officer at MaCaW, and he’s thrilled with the impact the Happies have made:
“We wanted someone to do a full analysis of our current digital marketing activity and plan a strategy around it to drive and generate leads for our low carbon project. The Happies put together a detailed proposal and then commenced a full research piece before devising an initial 3 month strategy following a full consultation with our team. The process has been made so easy. In such a short period of time."
Our Chief Happy, Karen Lambert is equally thrilled to be working with MaCaW. “We’re a proudly Lancashire-based business and it’s good to be supporting a project that’s making a real difference to businesses in the county – and to the environment. Already, MaCaW has helped local companies identify 359 tonnes of carbon savings. We’re looking forward to continuing to help raise MaCaW’s profile, spread the message even wider, and help save even more carbon.”
