Happy to Be Part of Blackpool’s Growth
We’ve been helping Blackpool Unlimited in its mission to help Blackpool businesses prosper.
We’ve worked on a number of projects with the Blackpool Council’s Blackpool Unlimited (BU) team over the past few years, including providing the marketing and design support for their biggest event of the year, Blackpool Enterprise Week.
BU provide year-round support for the town’s next generation of entrepreneurs, but Blackpool Enterprise Week is a big, concentrated blast of workshops, surgeries, networking sessions and more. This year, there were tax and financial planning sessions, inspirational meet-ups with successful local businesses, sessions by Lloyds Bank and Google on digital marketing and more.
We’ve also been involved in the marketing of the Growth4Business Conference, an event designed to inspire business success and which offers help and support to local scaleups and established businesses in the magnificent surroundings of the Winter Gardens Spanish Hall.
Playing our part
Between them, the events attracted lots of buzz and hundreds of delegates at different stages of their business journey. For us, there’s an enormous amount of satisfaction to be taken from being part of BU’s work. It feels good to make a difference to any and every client but when the project is your own town you can’t help but feel even greater investment.
David Slater, Business Growth Manager for Blackpool Unlimited said, “As our marketing partner Happy developed a comprehensive marketing plan for this year’s events. They provided collateral including leaflets, banners and posters. They developed blog, video and gif content and press releases. And they were responsible for ambient media including bus backs and bus shelters.”
Chief Happy Karen Lambert added: “Blackpool Unlimited’s advisors are business people so they’re all highly experienced and have a wealth of knowledge. That’s how they have been able to help thousands of local businesses launch, become established and grow - for free. It’s our pleasure to share the great work they do in building the prosperity of our town, and to ensure more people know about it.”
