Happy To Have Extended Our Partnership with Blackpool Council Until March 2027
Posted on: 21th April 2026
We’re delighted to share that, following a successful tender win, our partnership with Blackpool Council has been extended through to March 2027.

L-R: Karen Lambert (Chief Happy), Lesley Crowe (Business Growth Team's Marketing & Office Manager), Krisztina Szigeti (Happy Account Manager) and Angela Kershaw (Business Growth Team's Head of Business Growth)
Over the course of our partnership, working with the Business Growth Team, we have had the privilege of supporting initiatives that have made a real difference across Blackpool’s business community, helping to drive growth, reduce carbon footprint and offer valuable support to local organisations.
The Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy and the Blackpool Growth Business Academy have provided invaluable support to businesses across the town, and it’s been a pleasure to help bring their impact to life through strategic marketing, storytelling and creative delivery.
While these initiatives and the Shared Prosperity Funding (SPF) has come to an end, we can see the clear impact they have had on the businesses they’ve supported, and the momentum they’ve created across the local economy.
We’re also proud to have played a part in the restoration of The Robinson, an award-winning refurbishment project in Blackpool town centre. From developing the strategic marketing plans to creating a new brand identity for this modern business hub, it’s been a standout project for the Happies and one we’ve loved being part of.
Looking ahead: Strategic marketing for the next phase
As we move into this next chapter, our role as strategic marketing partner will focus on delivering a clear, insight-led strategy to drive awareness, engagement and impact.
We’ll continue to manage and grow social media through a consistent, creative and data-driven approach, while evolving the Blackpool Unlimited website as a central hub for business support, improving content and accessibility.
Content will remain a priority, with engaging case studies, success stories and short-form showcasing the real impact of business support. We’ll also work closely with the Business Growth Team to plan and promote events and workshops, support the Enterprise Centre and The Robinson business hubs, and help attract businesses into these spaces.
Through targeted email marketing and campaigns, we’ll be keeping businesses informed, engaged and connected.
Chief Happy Karen Lambert said, “We’re absolutely delighted to be continuing our work with the Business Growth Team. We’ve loved being part of the journey so far, supporting local businesses and helping bring some brilliant projects to life, and we’re excited to keep that going. There’s plenty more to come.”
