Happy has won the coveted contract to market Blackpool Unlimited, Blackpool Council’s business support hub.
Last year 1,734 new companies were formed in Blackpool – a town record. They are diverse with manufacturers and retailers, service providers and creative as well as accommodation providers. They demonstrate that Blackpool is about more than tourism; it’s a place to do business. And as a result of winning the brand and website refresh for Blackpool Unlimited, it’s Happy’s job to make everyone realise it.
We’re working with Blackpool Council to make Blackpool Unlimited a branded business portal synonymous with practical, effective business help. It already provides a range of support services including start up business advice, growth coaching, recruitment, property finding and financial help. We’re helping to ensure more of our fellow Blackpool businesses are aware of the support that’s available to them.
Understanding Blackpool
A core part of our role is working with local businesses, market researching what they want to see on the new site. The fact we’ve had an overwhelming response is an encouraging indicator of just how much Blackpool businesses want to engage with – and benefit from – Blackpool Unlimited’s services.
Changing the face of Blackpool Unlimited
We’ll be using the research data to develop strategies to ensure the new Blackpool Unlimited delivers on Blackpool Council’s objectives.
In addition to the website redesign and build, hosting and the brand refresh, we’ll be working with the council and the business community to ensure the Blackpool Unlimited brand develops momentum. From brand workshops to relaunch activities to ongoing email campaigns we’ll be working to ensure that when Blackpool businesses want support, their first thought is Blackpool Unlimited.
The contract is awarded until 2016.
“The more people realise Blackpool’s strengths as a business base, the more we help create growth, wealth and jobs in our home town. We’re genuinely proud to be a part of that” enthused Happy’s Managing Director, Karen Lambert.
