It’s been a busy week in the marketing world, here’s what has caught our eye!

YouTube have released their 10 most popular adverts for February with big brands Adidas and Apple topping the list. The list is dominated by the big budget brands but also popping into the top 10 is The Prince’s Trust charity who have collaborated with L’Oreal for their All Worth It campaign.

Channel 4 may be forced to move from its London HQ following a decision not to privatise the broadcaster – and its destination could be somewhere in the north of England. Culture Secretary Karen Bradley has outlined government plans for a consultation about Channel 4. Salford is already in the mix for its new home following a successful transition for moving many BBC departments to MediaCity, including BBC Sport and it’s children’s shows.

Meanwhile, the BBC will be forced to spend more of its programme budget outside London under targets set out by new regulator Ofcom. The Beeb’s spending in the English region is to increase by between 31% and 34%. Under the proposals the capital is likely to see the biggest reduction, followed by Wales. Radio 5 Live will also be required to broadcast 20 different sports, something it normally only achieves in an Olympic year.

Facebook has copied the likes of Snapchat and Instagram by launching its own version of Stories. After tapping the in-app camera, users can snap and share a picture that automatically disappears after 24 hours. Like Snapchat, Facebook Stories allows users to heavily customise their pictures with filters, text, drawings, stickers, frames and animated masks.

Google Home, the search giant’s smart assistant that rivals Amazon’s Alexa, will be launched in the UK in April. The speaker and assistant, which launched in the US in November, is part of a growing trend to make artificial intelligence available in homes. Like Amazon’s Echo, Home can answer basic queries as well as control smart home devices, such as lights.

Social Media

All the tweets and posts in the world won’t help generate leads unless there’s some strategic thinking behind what you’re doing.

We’ll help define the right social media strategy for you, so that you’re on the right platforms, saying the right things to the right people at the right time to generate the right leads.

Design & Brand Building

Marketing is bit like those huge, swirling flocks of starlings you see from time to time. Individually your brochure, email, ad, meme or gif may not change the world.

But when you join them together and ensure they’re all heading in the same direction, you have the power to stop people in their tracks.

We design communications that help build a consistent brand and convert more leads to sales.

Websites

Your website can generate leads in so many ways. Informed content. Strong calls to action. A simple, natural journey from ‘Hi there!’ to ‘Buy now’.

Yet websites are never ‘done’. They need to keep evolving to keep pace with your customers’ expectations, so we’ll be with you for the long haul to keep tweaking, refining and growing your site – and to deliver the PPC campaigns that help drive traffic towards it.

Because when your website keeps working to understand and speak to your audience, you’ve got more chance of converting.
