This week’s nominee is an ad which we at Happy HQ think is just a genius way to advertise a car.

A child dressed as Darth Vader desperately tries to invoke his Sith powers to make random objects levitate, make a sound or respond in some way.
After a day of trying without success, he stands in front of the advertised car (Passat), he’s finally given the response he’s been seeking, when the car flashes its lights and makes a noise (although his super powers had nothing to do with this, as the car was just responding to the alarm command).
John Williams’s legendary Imperial March score contributed enormously to the overall effect of this brilliant and engaging advert. Much better than close ups of a car going up and down the hills, eh?
And for those of you who haven’t yet seen it, have a look for the ‘making of and bloopers’ film.
