Spring Into Action: Bloom Your Business
With A Fresh Start
Posted on: 2nd April 2026
What should growing businesses focus on this spring to drive meaningful growth? Our Account Manager, Marilia Spindler, shares her insights.
Here we are, it’s spring again (finally!). The daffodils are out, the days are getting longer and there’s a noticeable shift in energy - a natural point in the year to take stock and refocus.
At this time of year, we often find ourselves having similar conversations with business leaders, as spring offers a timely opportunity to step back, assess what’s working and make considered changes that set the tone for the months ahead.
In our experience, these are four areas businesses most often focus on when looking to grow:
Reassess your strategy
Spring cleaning isn’t just for homes, it’s a useful mindset for leadership too. Take a step back and review your current strategy. Is your positioning still clear? Are your messages aligned with where the business is heading? And are you truly engaging the audience you want to reach? Over time, even strong strategies can become diluted. What we often find is that a focused review helps strip things back to what really matters. If you’re unsure where to start, our RISUS Growth Model can help you better understand your audience and clarify your direction.
Refine your marketing approach
In a competitive market, visibility and consistency are key. Now is a good time to sense-check your marketing activity - from your website and content to your campaigns and channels.
Are you communicating value effectively? Are you reaching the right people in the right way? From what we’re seeing across clients, it’s rarely about doing more - it’s about doing the right things better. Small, targeted improvements can deliver meaningful results. You might also find it useful to revisit some of our insights on building stronger brands through emotionally intelligent leadership, where we explore how connection and clarity drive engagement.
Focus on growth opportunities
Growth rarely happens by accident. It comes from identifying the right opportunities and acting on them with intent. This might mean exploring new markets, strengthening partnerships, or refining your service offering. It could involve introducing new services to meet evolving client needs, developing referral partnerships with complementary businesses, or targeting new audience segments with more tailored messaging. It may also include investing in digital tools to improve efficiency, or reviewing pricing and packaging to ensure they reflect the value you provide. Even incremental changes can unlock new potential when approached strategically. For me, spring is always a reminder that growth needs direction, not just momentum.
Strengthen your team and culture
Your people are at the heart of your business. Spring is a great time to review team structures, communication, and culture. Are your employees engaged and aligned with your goals? Could training, mentorship, or new ways of collaborating help them perform at their best? A strong, motivated team can amplify every other improvement you make. It’s also important that everyone is working in alignment, with a shared understanding of your goals and values. When the whole team is aligned and “singing from the same hymn sheet,” it creates consistency across the business - particularly when it comes to delivering exceptional customer service at every touchpoint. A motivated team that feels supported and connected will naturally reflect your standards, helping to create a consistently high-quality experience for your customers and strengthening your business as a whole.
This time of year offers a natural reset point. By stepping back, refining your approach and focusing on what drives value, you can position your business for a stronger, more purposeful period of growth. Sometimes, a fresh perspective is all it takes to move things forward - and help your business truly flourish.
