Colossal thinks big with new site

The profile of safety and security worldwide has never been greater. Happy is helping one security training provider reach a global audience.

Here’s a question: when a political or business leader (or celebrity) needs close protection, who trains the bodyguards? And when there’s a security issue on board a cargo ship, who trains the crew to deal with it?

The answer is Colossal, a big success story that’s set to get even bigger thanks to a new website designed and created by Happy.

Colossal was founded in 2011 by Lee Kirton, an ex-Royal Marine Commando and a serving maritime security consultant. Lee’s experiences made him realise that companies and their people are operating in increasingly challenging locations – and staying safe demands expert security provision and training. Lee set out to provide it. Since then, Colossal has been a finalist in the Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs) – the UK’s leading Chamber of Commerce Awards – and nominated in the 2015 Red Rose Awards.

Happy’s north-west web design team have already built one site for the Colossal Group, which focuses on the company’s security, risk management and intelligence services. Now we’ve created another, designed to make booking any of the company’s medical, maritime, security or health & safety courses quick and simple.

“Our customers could be anywhere in the world,” explains Lee, “so it’s vital that booking a course and paying for it online is quick and simple. Happy have made it so much easier to reach our global audience.”
