This week I celebrated as I reached a milestone – a Happyversary you might call it.
So, after 12 months at Happy HQ, what have I learned? How have I changed? What now?
There’s so many questions floating around your head when you join a new team. Will I fit in? Will my new colleagues like me? Where’s the kettle?
When I came to Happy I had no idea what to expect from this energetic agency. Having been involved with mainly huge corporate organisations I was excited to get involved with a varying client base and some exciting design projects. I was also interested to know how the business worked and what my skills could bring to the Happy family.
Truth be told I was desperate to work at Happy. The culture drew me in, I wanted to be part of it and I knew I would fit in straight away. Happy gives new meaning to the phrase ‘work hard, play hard’.
Everyone here does exactly what they say they’ll do when they said they’d do it. There are no false promises. The talent amongst them is truly inspiring and they really are an incredible bunch of people brought together because they have the same values and the same goals. Who wouldn’t want a piece of that?
We also know it’s important to have fun. Creativity is fed by inspiration and to get inspired you need to get out there and experience stuff!
So what have I learnt from my time here?
I’ve learnt that if you are true to yourself and believe in your ability others will trust you will deliver. I’ve learnt how important it is to really know your customers and listen to their needs and ideas. I’ve also learnt that as a team we are stronger and yes, we challenge each other, disagree at times and pinpoint our mistakes but ultimately we are THE happy team and one which I am very proud to be a part of.
It’s been a good year, more please!
