Spring. Absolutely my favourite season. I adore it. Daffodils, longer days, clear blue skies, new sprouts of growth, and bouncy new-born lambs. What’s not to love?
I find there’s nothing better to lift the spirits than a beautiful spring day, especially after the darker and colder days of winter. Spring triggers my senses to feel differently about my surroundings. It’s the same car as I drive to work, the same person, the same coat, yet with the onset of spring there’s a totally different mood.
It got me thinking how a shift in seasons really does influence me and it affects my state of mind.
Spring excites me, and it makes me feel (even) happier inside. So in the same way spring can do that to me, our brand and marketing materials should be working in similar ways.
So in the spirit of the season, what a perfect time to review our brand materials to see how they influence mood.
Look at the below images, what one word sums up your mood when you see them?
OK here goes …
Next take a look at your brand materials … your website, your latest ad, your brochures and see how aligned these are with the emotions you are trying to create?
With the dawn of a new season and the prospect of growth, spring is a perfect time to ask some great questions.
- How aligned are your materials with how you want to be perceived?
- How can your brand help you grow, lift sales, excite, engage?
- What emotions are ignited when people touch your brand?
It’s great to think about these things with a fresh head, what better place than in the park with the daffodils, or is that just me?
Let me know how you get on, and if Spring is your favourite season, share your thoughts on Spring.
