1. Know your brand

Helping your business stand out on social media is easy if you remain true to your brand.
Your brand voice is the way you talk to your customers, your personality. It’s your brand's style of communication which should be defined by your company’s values and persona. It can evolve naturally but it will help you stand out from your competition, and should attract the right followers for your business. It’s really important to know your brand before you being to create social media content.

2. Consistency is the key

Sticking to a particular colour palette, using the same language, graphic and photography style will create a distinct look and feel for your posts, one which your customers will come to recognise. Consistency builds trust and emotional engagement and studies show that a staggering 94% of people are more likely to recommend a brand they are emotionally engaged with.

Do your research and understand how your products or services can be marketed on each individual platform. You’ll also need to know who your target audience is and the different social channels they use. It’s really a case of square peg/round hole, if your content doesn’t fit or your target audience isn’t active on a particular platform it won’t work. To keep appearing in feeds you need to post regularly and that means you need a plan (See no. 7)

3. Create kick-ass visuals

To help your business stand out on social media you’ll need stand out visuals. Words are great and together with an image, it’s a powerful combination, so make sure they are as high quality as they can be. Showcasing your brand through top class imagery is the best way to attract and retain followers. Being creative with your content can also help you stand out as long as it’s in line with your tone of voice.

4. Tell your brand story

When you have strong visuals, a consistent theme and your brand voice, you can combine them all to tell your story with the addition of compelling captions. Connect with your audience by creating conversations instead of just speaking AT them. Ask questions, welcome opinions and really personalise your content to help your audience engage with you. Make them feel valued and empowered by asking for their advice. It’s a great way to get feedback on your products or services and will demonstrate how important your customers are to you and how much you trust them.

5. Keep your content fresh

Whilst keeping your content consistent you can use different posting techniques and content types to enhance your presence. Videos, images, and plain text posts combined with links can create a varied and engaging content schedule. Explore other features like polls, fleets, multiple image posts, live videos, stories and experiment with all the other tools available on each social media platform. Check your analytics to see what works and what doesn’t so that your content always hits the mark.

6. Create recurring content

Creating a recurring post or event each week or month can really boost engagement. Such as a Q&A livestream, share a weekly tip, or create a “best of…” showreel. Engagement may not soar overnight but again, consistency is the key here and it will keep your followers coming back week after week. This kind of content allows you to get creative, really connect with your audience, add value, and show your brand personality.

7. Have a social media strategy

Having a conversational calendar will provide you with direction for your content, and give you the time you need to get creative. It will ensure all your team are on the same page and that no opportunities are missed. You’ll have the space to discuss creative and effective ways to get the word out there and think up some wonderful content to support your marketing plan.

Social Media

All the tweets and posts in the world won’t help generate leads unless there’s some strategic thinking behind what you’re doing.

We’ll help define the right social media strategy for you, so that you’re on the right platforms, saying the right things to the right people at the right time to generate the right leads.

Design & Brand Building

Marketing is bit like those huge, swirling flocks of starlings you see from time to time. Individually your brochure, email, ad, meme or gif may not change the world.

But when you join them together and ensure they’re all heading in the same direction, you have the power to stop people in their tracks.

We design communications that help build a consistent brand and convert more leads to sales.

Websites

Your website can generate leads in so many ways. Informed content. Strong calls to action. A simple, natural journey from ‘Hi there!’ to ‘Buy now’.

Yet websites are never ‘done’. They need to keep evolving to keep pace with your customers’ expectations, so we’ll be with you for the long haul to keep tweaking, refining and growing your site – and to deliver the PPC campaigns that help drive traffic towards it.

Because when your website keeps working to understand and speak to your audience, you’ve got more chance of converting.
